JUST TIGERS! – JUST IN TIME!
INDIA’S KANHA NATIONAL PARK
Naturetrek still has places on its 13-day Just Tigers! tour of Kanha National Park, one of India’s finest and most remote Tiger Reserves, statistically proven to offer the world’s best chance to see wild Tigers, departing Heathrow 22nd December 2006. Further dates available throughout 2007.
Kanha’s beautiful reserve embraces undulating grasslands, deciduous forest and a perennial lake, providing year-round water for animals. Added to this, Naturetrek’s tours coincide with the dry season when the reduced water, shorter grass and fallen leaves, offer the very best Tiger and mammal viewing conditions. Based at the comfortable Kanha Forest Lodge for 7-days, guests make early morning and evening 4-WD and elephant-back forays into the reserve, maximising their chances of sightings (walking tours are not permitted in Kanha for obvious reasons…) Whilst stalking Tigers, there are a host of other mammals to be observed including; Sambar, Spotted and Swamp Deer, Common Langurs and with luck, Leopard and Dhole. A full day in Delhi and Agra at either end of the itinerary combines a couple of India’s ‘must-see’ sights, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
The tour costs £1,945 p/p (December 2006 departures) including scheduled flights, hotel and lodge accommodation, most meals and expertly guided Tiger stalking.
