Rio and Buenos Aires provide the culture; Brazil, the sun-kissed beaches and awesome Iguazu Falls, the Chilean and Argentine Lake District the skiing, and for superb marine wildlife, the Valdez Peninsula and Punta Tombo Nat. Park in Argentina are unbeatable. The itinerary also includes a stay at a traditional Anglo-Argentinean Gaucho Estancia, riding Peruvian Paso horses across the rolling Sierra Grande, before feasting in true Gaucho-style, on huge Aberdeen Angus steaks washed down with copious amounts of the Estancia’s own label wines. The tour concludes in Rio, just as the carnival is hotting up. Time to swap chaps for sequins…maybe?
The tour now costs £796 p/p (normally £995 – saving £199) plus kitty $500 (~£260) including camping and hotel accommodation, transport aboard Dragoman Overland’s customised Mercedes Benz expedition truck and experienced two-person crew. Flights are not included but are available through Dragoman Overland.
