Families Worldwide - Press Release

FAMILY TRAVEL
PREDICTIONS FOR 2007

Discerning parents with young families are shying away from traditional beach holidays and opting instead for more adventurous and enriching choices.  Driving a dog-sled in Lapland, learning to create a curry in India, dressing as a Maasai warrior in Tanzania, discovering a lost city in the Andes or admiring mighty snow-capped peaks in the Himalayas, are now all viable family options.

Mark Wright, Managing Director of Families Worldwide reports, ‘Increasingly families want to explore new landscapes, discover new cultures and experience new activities, seeking experiences that will engage them with local people and other ways of life.  More and more people are choosing to tailor-make their holidays, combining relaxation and fun with activity and discovery.  Morocco has proved exceptionally popular with 50% of our 2007 bookings to date featuring the High Atlas Mountains, it’s an affordable short-haul destination with a long-haul feel’. Morocco offers enormous diversity - bustling, vibrant cities, traditional villages, remote desert oases and snow-capped mountains - an exotic adventure destination just 4 hours away.

Families Worldwide offer a range of holidays in Morocco including their popular High Atlas Adventure:-

High Atlas Adventure – 8-days departing London on selected dates from February to October 07.
Explore the old walled city of Marrakech, crammed with souks, palaces and museums and the famous main square of Djemma el Fna providing a multitude of entertainment ranging from snake-charmers to fortune-tellers.  From the hustle and bustle of Marrakech to the tranquillity of the remote High Atlas, where through a combination of day walks and overnight treks, utilising mules to carry baggage and children, explorations are made along mountain paths, staying in traditional picturesque Berber villages en route.

The holiday costs from £599 adults, £529 children under 12 and includes scheduled flights transfers, accommodation in hotels, village houses and mountain refuge, most meals and expert guiding.  Tour extensions are available to the old port of Essaouira, for sightseeing, camel riding and beach relaxation.
