Press Digest 30th January 2007

Good Afternoon,

Destinations travel show is almost upon us and Earl's Court once more opens its doors to the nation's tired, poor, hungry masses yearning to be free... Many of the UK's most esteemed specialist operators come together to showcase their encyclopedic knowledge of 'undiscovered destinations'... Aspiring travellers gather three and four deep around exhibition stands, eager to ask the burning question that only someone with a real love for their subject can answer... 'Two weeks Tenerife. What can you do?'

What indeed?

Those with more hard-hitting questions may want to visit the 'Ask Bradt Zone' (Stand R29) where more than 25 of the fearless indy publisher's authors will be on hand to share their knowledge. Several of Bradt's finest, including Philip Briggs (author of 10 Bradt Africa guides), will later take the stage to speak on their specialist subject. Click here for full details.

Other Travel Media clients present at the show include Dragoman Overland, Naturetrek, Peregrine Adventures, Quest Travel and the Worldwide Group,

I'll be at the show for Thursday and Friday with Lindsay, Kate and Zoe wo-manning the office in Kirkharle. Call me on 07767 603 145 if you want to meet up.

This week's handy website of the week is http://wwwwww.timeanddate.com/calendar/ - perfect if you forgot to pick up a suitable freebie at WTM...

That's about it. Have a good week.

Best,

Nick

Bradt Travel Guides I
BOLIVIA - FIRST EDITION

Out Now £14.99

For some, their strongest associations with Bolivia are contained in the final frozen frame of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, when los bandidos Americanos emerge guns blazing into a Bolivian plaza and a withering hail of bullets, only to live on in Hollywood legend. For others, it’s the place where Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara entered a similarly murderous final frame in a remote pueblo at the hands of CIA-backed soldiers. However, David Atkinson brings the country alive and up-to-date with Bradt’s all-encompassing first edition guidebook, Bolivia.
