Good Afternoon, Travel Media clients were front of stage at last weekend's Destinations travel show during the Wanderlust Travel Awards 2007.
Bradt Travel Guides won a Bronze award for their fearless indy guideboooks winning out over several much larger publishers, Dragoman Overland, with the biggest and most orange truck in Earl's Court, was one of ten finalists for 'Top Tour Operator' with Wildlife Worldwide, after being runner-up last year, winning the coverted 'Top Tour Operator' Gold award. See their link below for more details.
In all, Wanderlust's awards were a great leveller, allowing the quality of destinations, airlines, tour ops, guidebooks, websites to transcend the corporate struggle, where might in the form of marketing and PR budget is almost always right. Let's hear it for Luang Prabang - top city again in this year's awards!
This week's website of the week is an excellent resource for simple, clear and print-friendly maps http://www.nationalgeographic.com/xpeditions/atlas/
Best,
Nick
