Spend Easter with the family on an 8 day campervan adventure in Oz with long-haul specialist Quest Travel. Watch the world’s smallest penguins on parade, spot kangaroos cooling off in the surf and explore the Antipodean coastline dotted with beautiful national parks, on this campervan trail from Melbourne to Sydney. Upon arrival in Melbourne, check into a hotel and then check out this fun, funky and cosmopolitan city. Next day pick up the campervan, and with excited kids installed, set off for Philip Island. This wildlife haven is a must-see, with its resident penguins, Australia’s largest colony of Fur Seals and plenty of cute koalas to be photographed with! The main highlight is a visit to the evening Penguin Parade to watch the delightful Fairy Penguins march up the beach at dusk. Feel like early explorers on a visit to Point Hicks in Croajingolong National Park - the very first piece of the Australian continent to be sighted by the crew of Captain Cook’s Endeavour in 1770. The park has secluded beaches, dramatic rocky coastlines, a huge array of wildlife and some great camp spots. Head next to Murramarang National Park and the kangaroos of Pebbly Beach, hopping along the sand to take a cooling dip in the surf! Spot dolphins in Jervis Bay and see the famous blowhole at Kiama, a rock formation at the edge of the sea which sends spumes of water high into the air as the fierce waves surge through the rocks – mother nature at its most spectacular. And to finish… How about bodysurfing at Sydney’s world-famous Bondi Beach?
