Good Evening,
One must have lived amongst National Trust tenants and possibly have had personal contractual experience with 'the Trust' to understand that acorns on one's Land Rover are about as welcome in the country as swastikas. From the moment I saw the vestigial acorn motifs on Eric Tweddle's courtesy-car Land Rover I should have understood the inevitably divergent paths it and I were destined to take... akin to matter and anti-matter occupying the same time and space simultaneously, the results would be uncertain...
The school gate humiliation caused by running out of diesel was at least tempered by having made it there with all three kids, if not back. As the father of my daughter's current best friend pulled up, the maximum visibility yellow of his Lamborghini was juxtaposed with the green welly hues of one 'For Sale £2,700ono' Land Rover of a certain age... with rust, minus diesel - 'Morning Darren...'
Morning indeed...
This week's website of the week features an mpg-increasing fuel catalyst http://wwwwww.broquet.co.uk/ Does it work? Who knows, but I may give it a whirl...
Have a good week.
best,
Nick
PS Look out for Bradt's Southern African Wildlife guide being studied closely on the BBC's reality TV Safari School - know your spoors is all I can say.
PPS Sarah Woods, author Bradt's Panama and also soon-to-be-published Colombia, drew my attention to a Slovenian guy swimming 3,375 miles of the Amazon right now... follow his progress on wwwwww.amazonswim.com.
