Good Afternoon,
For those interested in the scientific exploration of the human condition there are many opportunities to observe the extremes of emotion that together characterise what it is to be alive. Love, hate, fear, anger, to varying degrees are all part of daily life - those who commute to work will readily accept this... More subtle is despair, a profound but less tangible emotion. The dull ache of nothingness, a chasm expanding to swallow stomach, guts and vital organs, leaving a heady feeling of endless free-fall from nowhere to nowhere. Certainly a difficult one for mass observation and any serious anthropological study. However, last week I made remarkable progress in this respect and discovered a sure-fire method of tapping a seemingly bottomless pit of despair. As with all great discoveries, it's very simple. Just pick up the phone and dial 0870 010 2462, wait for a moment and then you'll hear 'Hello, and thank you for calling Orange, you're through to broadband support'. Eureka!
This week's website of the week is orangeproblems.co.uk
Have a good week.
best,
Nick
