Enjoy a visit to the scenic coastal town of Lorne and the newly created Otway National Park to spot koalas, view beautiful rainforest gullies and take a Rainforest by Night guided walk to search out glow worms! Follow one of the world’s most spectacular coastal routes, the Great Ocean Road, known for the remarkable Twelve Apostles coastal rock stacks before heading back to Melbourne for some free time to ride the trams, eat out in style and discover the grandeur of the city’s Victorian architecture and picturesque parks. Head next by air to the ‘Red Centre’ & 3-days at Ayers Rock to view sunrise and sunset over Uluru, take a guided cultural base walk or a guided climb. From here enjoy excursions to the Great Barrier Reef for glass bottom boat tours, snorkelling and optional expertly guided scuba dives. A further domestic flight leaves tropical Queensland behind, heading for New South Wales and 4-nights devoted to the sights of Sydney, Australia’s foremost city. As well the fine waterfront restaurants of the Rocks, close to both the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, enjoy an included harbour cruise for another perspective on this undisputed world class city. Finally, escape to NSW’s most accessible wilderness, the Blue Mountains where a full day tour visits countless waterfalls and picturesque towns and takes in spectacular lofty views of the Three Sisters rock pinnacles before heading back to Sydney for homeward flights.
The holiday costs from £1,589 p/p including scheduled international flights to Perth (Qantas Airways), domestic flights, transfers, hotel accommodation (room only) and tours as described.
