Dragoman Overland - Press Release

SPRING FEVER!!!
20% DISCOUNT ON ALL SOUTH AMERICAN TOURS
APRIL, MAY & JUNE DEPARTURES

There is something about spring that makes people do crazy things! Dragoman Overland has definitely developed a touch of ‘Spring Fever’, why else would they offer a brilliant 20% discount on ALL South American journeys departing before July 2007. Somebody call a doctor…

For example:

Inca Heartland Revisited– 24-nights departing Quito 9th May & 22nd June or v/v Cusco 13th April & 27th May 07.

Full on adventure in Ecuador and Peru, from the steamy Amazon jungle to the cold mountain trails of the Andes. Highlights in Ecuador include a guided Amazon jungle trip and visit to Cuenca, the country’s favourite city full of attractive plazas, cobbled streets, markets and 16th and 17th Century churches. For echoes of pre-Inca civilisations, cross the border into Peru and travel to the northern coastal deserts, home of the Chimu Indians, the ancient city of Chan Chan and the pyramids of the Moche. Further south, visit the intriguing Nazca lines depicting birds and animals, drawn in the coloured sands of Peru’s Nazca Planes by three different civilisations between 900BC and 630AD. Later, visit Colca Canyon in the Peruvian Andes, one of the world’s deepest chasms, taking time to appreciate that ‘condor moment’ as these magnificent predators catch the updrafts and ride the thermals over the canyon. Travel through the lands of the Quechua Indians, staying within local communities and helping out in ‘hands-on’ community projects. Follow an alternative Inca Trail, a Quechua Indian community trek exploring the Pumahuanca region on the opposite side of the Urubamba Valley from the Classic Inca Trail, culminating in a visit to Machu Picchu.

The journey now costs from £516 p/p (9th May departure from Quito - normally £645) plus kitty USD$770 (~£393) including transport in Dragoman Overland’s customised Mercedes Benz truck, hotel and camping accommodation (70%/30%), all camp meals, the expertise of Dragoman’s two person crew and local guides en route.
Flights are not included but are available through Dragoman. Overland.
