To launch the opening of brand new equestrian facilities at Stefan cel Mare, Romania’s longest-established equestrian centre, Equine Adventures offers a last minute 1-week riding holiday, departing either 22nd or 29th April, at a special price of just £495 p/p!

The riding holiday is centre-based to take full advantage of Stefan cel Mare’s new facilities, which include eight guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms, sauna and Jacuzzi and a new dining room serving delicious traditional Romanian dishes. A perfect venue for families and friends to return to after an exhilarating day’s ride. Transylvania's beautiful mountain scenery offers fabulous riding in a region where horses still outnumber vehicles. Step back in time to witness a land rich in history, culture and wildlife. Workhorses are used daily on the many small farm holdings, ploughing fields, pulling carts full of hay and dragging logs from the surrounding forests. Wolves, bears, lynx, boar, deer and a multitude of birdlife inhabit the region. Old Roman roads and medieval trails, ruined fortresses and relics of the Habsburg era, plus traditional folklore and music can all be experienced.
Stefan cel Mare uses only locally-bred horses including Lipizzaner, one of the great breeds associated with the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Semigreu, Arabian, Bucovina, and Hutzul. The calm, well-mannered temperament of these horses makes them well suited to riders of varying abilities.

The holiday costs just £495 p/p (normally £545) including free airport transfers for those travelling via Cluj, accommodation, all meals, horse, tack and expert guiding.
Flights are not included. Children aged 10 years and over welcome.
