Equine Adventures has an extensive selection of child-friendly riding holidays for summer, ideal for single parents and their offspring, or the whole family! From Ireland to Africa, there’s a ride for everyone!

Ireland’s West Donegal: 8-days Sligo to Sligo
Explore some of the wildest and most beautiful parts of northwest Ireland from the saddle, and enjoy that famous Irish hospitality too, during an 8-day self-guided tour of West Donegal, departing Sligo Thursdays to Sundays throughout the summer.
Ride across rugged mountains, bogs, forests and canter through the Atlantic surf along deserted white beaches, stopping to picnic, paddle, build sandcastles and search for leprechauns - to be sure!
The tour costs £575 p/p (7th July to 25th August) including farmhouse accommodation, some meals, equipment hire and detailed maps. Suitable for children 8 years and over. Flights are not included.
Mountains and Valleys of the Gredos: 8-days London to London
Discover Spain’s Sierra Gredos, a picturesque region of snow-capped peaks, stunning wildflower-filled valleys dotted with traditional villages, and towering medieval castles perching precipitously on rocky outcrops, during an 8-day guided horseback holiday departing London 22nd July and 5th & 19th August.
Ride along old cattle tracks over lavender and thyme-covered hillsides, visit 14th and 15th century villages with their beautiful churches and ancient castles, and stay in a lovely mix of accommodation including an historic hunting lodge and Spain’s first-ever Parador – a delightful mountain retreat set amidst pine groves.
The tour costs from £1,335 p/p including scheduled flights, transfers, accommodation, most meals, horse, tack and expert guiding. Suitable for children confident in the saddle - 10 years and over.
The Big Five: 10-days London to London
See the Big Five up-close during a 10-day horseback safari at ‘Wait-a-Little’, a haven for big game, lying next to South Africa’s Kruger National Park, departing London on Fridays throughout the summer.
‘Wait-a-Little’ offers fabulous and varied riding and an exceptional opportunity to view game from the saddle. To maximise the game viewing, families stay in two luxury camps, with one night in the bush sleeping under the stars.
The tour costs from £2,495 p/p (19th Aug-Dec 07) including scheduled flights, transfers, tented camp accommodation, most meals, horse, tack and expertly guided activities. Suitable for children confident in the saddle - 12 years and over.
