***NEW TOUR*** ANDALUCIAN ADVENTURE SPAIN ON HORSE-BACK
Canter through the surf, explore the beautiful Andalucian countryside – without crossing roads or finding gates to open or close, learn new equestrian skills or develop existing haute ecole techniques! Equine Adventures offer a new 6-night horse-riding holiday in Spain, departing Seville every Sunday throughout 2007. (Summer availability).
This new holiday has been developed for those riders who want training to improve their dressage or jumping on Epona's well-schooled Andalucians and thoroughbreds. From Seville, guests are transferred to the 16th century, family-run Epona hacienda that offers a high level of equestrian tuition and facilities. Every season is different at Epona - fields of wild flowers in spring, sunflowers and oranges in summer, the olive harvest in the autumn. After breakfast, trail-rides allow guests the opportunity to explore the beautiful Andalucian countryside - passing impressive 16th and 17th century haciendas and cortijos, which have stood since Cervantes rode these same trails collecting olive oil taxes. Return to Epona for lunch followed by a refreshing swim in the pool or an afternoon siesta. Improve flatwork, dressage or jumping skills and techniques during equitation lessons, which take place late afternoon when the air is cooler. Visit Jerez de la Frontera, the world famous center of sherry production. The main attraction of the day is a visit to the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestra, a classical equestrian show 'How the Andalusian Horses Dance'. Watch the magnificent Andalusian stallions at their best, in the beautiful 18th century riding hall, performing piaffe, passage and the 'airs above the ground' such as courbette and capriole. Other highlights include a visit to Seville to spend the evening watching classical Flamenco including over twenty dancers of national and international fame, traditional singers and wonderful flamenco guitar before concluding the holiday.
The tour costs from £765 p/p (land only) including accommodation, most meals and wine with evening meal, Dancing with Horses performance, Flamenco evening with meal, horse, tack and expertly guided activities. Flights are not included but are available through Equine Adventures.
