To all those who were intrigued by the reference to 'great big bottles of "bear"' in last week's intro, I extend a particular welcome. You may be unaware that Chadian's like their refreshments to have a bit of bite. To this end Chad's brewers utilise remarkable outsize bottles and ancient skills now lost in better known parts of the world, combined with considerable determination to get the big hairy critters under a crown cork! Sadly, this dying art, harking back to a great global tradition, is elsewhere only apparent in vestigial form, see 'Tiger', 'Tusker', 'Otter' and 'Flying Dog'...
Enough. I'm off to North Cyprus on Friday to check-out Earth's last divided capital amongst other things. In my absence Lindsay, Zoe and Elise will be in the office occasionally fielding enquiries, frequently shouting at the rabbits.
Have a good week,best, Nick
